Biography: The Honorable Ramona F. Tsosie, Ret.

​

Ramona F. Tsosie is an owner of Sage Educational Consultants LLC, dba Sage Education. She also owns and operates Native Air Enterprises, LLC., (NAE) which was established in November 2013 and is 100% native owned. Judge Tsosie is a member of the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe in Needles, California. She has served as the Chief Judge of the Havasupai Tribe and as an Interim Chief Judge for the Hualapai Tribe, both in Arizona. She also serves as Pro Tem Judge for the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe in Las Vegas Nevada. She has worked extensively in Tribal Court systems and brings over 25 years of practical experience in the areas of Court Administration and Court Clerking. She has served as the Court Administrator for the Hualapai Tribe, the Yavapai-Apache Nation and the Fort Mojave Tribe. Prior to joining the Fort Mojave Tribe, she worked in the Navajo Nation court system as a Court Clerk. Most recently, a Tribal Court Advocate for the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe. She has participated in systemic reviews in more than 40 tribal courts and a few CFR courts and has authored final reports. She also contributed to over 50 corrective actions to enhance tribal courts operations in identified areas of the court reviews. Judge Tsosie has served on Faculty Council as a member at the National Judicial College. In addition, she is an alumnus and joined the faculty of the National Judicial College, Reno, NV in 1999. She has served on the board of directors for the National Association of the Tribal Court Personnel. She was a member of the Arizona Courts Association. Since 2000, she has provided training and certification sessions to court clerks, court administrators and other court staff. Biography: Christine P. Folsom, J.D., LL.M.

Christine P. Folsom is an Owner at Sage Educational Consultants LLC, dba Sage Education, a Native Women-owned business providing premier online continuing education to Tribal Court staff as well as consulting services. She is the owner of Christine Folsom Consulting, LLC, a Native-owned, woman-owned company providing business services in targeted industries. She currently serves as Of Counsel for Celadon Law & Business Group. She served as the Director of The National Tribal Judicial Center at The National Judicial College for 11 years. Ms. Folsom earned her bachelor’s degree cum laude in English from Northeastern State University and her Juris Doctor and LL.M. degrees from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She earned an American Indian Law Certificate and a Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Certificate at TU and her LL.M. is in American Indian and Indigenous Peoples Law. She is an enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation and a descendant of the Chickasaw Nation and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Ms. Folsom joined the staff and faculty of the National Judicial College in 2006, teaching and creating curricula for a wide range of topics from Tribal Court administration to judicial bench skills. She designed courses, served as faculty and published on various topics. Ms. Folsom teaches on a variety of topics including judicial ethics and discipline, attorney/ advocate licensure and discipline, advocacy skills, opinion writing, bar association development, court personnel ethics, court development, code development and revision, court administration, caseflow management, procedural fairness, judicial skills, appellate skills, teambuilding, court security, succession and strategic planning, action planning, peacemaking and tribal-state-federal cooperation and collaboration. Ms. Folsom is a seasoned grant writer, peer reviewer and group facilitator. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
