Tribal Court Assessments:

A Tribal Court Assessment generally involves a multiday onsite visit for the purpose of interviewing Court staff and Judges to gather data on any gaps or areas of concern.  We assess if Court staff are following any identified mandated statutory requirements, rules, and administrative guidelines when handling legal paperwork or performing legal tasks in or out of the courtroom while also ensuring cases are flowing through the system from the initial filing, adjudication, and final disposition. The report generated by Sage Education will include suggested corrective actions.

Post-Assessment Corrective Actions:

A Corrective Action visit occurs for the purpose of assisting Court staff with the implementation of corrective procedures to reach maximum Court efficiency.   We will use a step-by-step strategy that addresses the issues and gaps identified as deficiencies in the assessment report and how we will correct those deficits.  

Tribal Code Audits:

Code audit, revision, and development simply encompass all aspects of keeping your codes up to date.  Codes should be living documents and changes are sometimes warranted due to a change in circumstances or laws affecting the Tribe.  This process can often be an overlooked aspect of document maintenance at the Tribe due to staffing issues.

Policy, Procedure, and Tribal Court Manual Development:
